Bac Ha market open at 7.30am, so early start is highly recommended. 

After driving of 110 km from Sapa (about 2.5 hours) , you will reach the market. Take time to join this eventful gathering of the local minority people! You can check out your shopping skills, take stunning photos of the market, and even try some special dishes there, such as Thang Co (horse stew) or Xoi Ngu Sac (five-colored steam sticky rice).

Your lunch will be served t a local restaurant which will satisfy your palate by a wide range of special local dishes. 

The next destination in the itinerary is Ban Pho, a village where the H'mong, Dzao, Dzay are live together. This village is famous for its strong corn wine which have a distinct flavor you can find no where else.

Continue your tour by getting on a horse cart to visit Trung Do village - a home to the Tay people and have a glimpse of village life.

After your visit to Trung Do village, our van will bring you back to Sapa. End of the service.

If you would like to buy something at the market, your should bargain. This is trade norm in every traditional markets in Vietnam.

Should you buy any gifts for local kids in the villages? This is not our recommendations. For the kids or adults in the villages you are visiting, giving candies, gifts or money when you pass or visit are not really good as then kids can quit school and adults can stopped the field work just to stay at the village waiting for tourists to pass by to ask for money and gift. For a sustainable tourism, we suggest that you should not. If you would like to donate for the villages here, there are couple of NGO funds those collect and support the remote villages. 

Should I tip the guide at the end of the tour? Only-When you are satisfied with the tour guide services, tipping is waited by the guide as the appreciation of the guide's work. Proper tip for Sapa Local tour guide is around 10$-15$/day but this vary depending on each tourist tipping culture and enjoyment of the tour. Tipping is not included in our tour quotations.
